Tao is a stage that first appeared in Dead or Alive 3.
Story[]
In Dead or Alive 3, both Gen Fu and Zack come face to face in combat. Leifang practices her t'ai chi quan here and declares that she will finally defeat Jann Lee.
In Chapter 3 of Dead or Alive Dimensions, Eliot was training here with his master Gen Fu. When they encounter Hayate and Ayane, Gen Fu asked the two for a friendly tag match so that Eliot can experience other styles of fighting.
Description[]
Tao consists of a enclosed courtyard, which is part of a larger complex with traditional Chinese architecture on a hill. Fighters cannot leave the courtyard, due to the large, unbreakable stone walls, and closed iron gates. The ground is covered in tiles, and can broken when fighters are smashed hard against them.
While Tao is simpily a closed-off courtyard, with fights taking part during the day, in Dimensions it has changed slighty changed, including steps leading upwards on one side, a flock of crows sitting on one of the walls which can be scared off with someone if thrown against said wall, and the sky is now a burning orange, meaning that fights now take place during sunrise or sunset.
