The Power Launcher is a new gameplay mechanic introduced in Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. This move allows the fighter to launch their opponent into the air for longer combos that can possibly exceed the damage of a power blow.
Like the Power Blow, it can only be used once the character has lost 50% or more of their lifebar. Only one "power" move can be used per round. As a result, this is a technique only recommended to experienced players who know what they're doing as one mistake can completely ruin the combo.
Besides it's normal use, power launcher attacks can be used as a normal attack; if you use the move without charging it, it'll flip the opponent backwards causing them to bounce up slightly, vulnerable to further strikes.
