Kyoto in Bloom is a stage which first appeared in Dead or Alive 4. This area is possibly near where Kokoro lives. In Dead or Alive 4, the stage can either be fought in daylight or during the night.
Story[]
Dead or Alive 4[]
In the opening of Dead or Alive 4, Kokoro was shown practicing her moves here in her kimono. The stage was also shown in Kokoro's story mode where she fights Brad Wong and later in Kokoro's story ending.
Dead or Alive Dimensions[]
Description[]
The stage is roughly based on the real-life city of Kyoto with traditional Japanese architecture on one side of a bridge and a fenced-off grass area designed for outdoor picnics on the other. The bridge goes over a shallow, man-made stream, which acts as a drop point. As the name suggests, the cherry-trees around the stage are in bloom, so there is a never-ending shower of petals falling onto the ground.
There are many different starting points for this stage: you might start fighting on the bridge, the picnic area, or near the buildings. Throughout the whole stage, you can throw your opponent over the fences and the tables to give them minimum damage.
Kyoto in Bloom is reused in Dead or Alive Dimensions, with some slight changes such as a larger bridge and no falling petals. Also some parts of the stages were altered to where there were no fence jumping and the river area is broken into tiers.
