This article is for the musical theme "Jintsuriki" and its subsequent update and remix.
Throughout the Dead or Alive series, "Jintsuriki" has been used as a theme for Bankotsubo (aka Tengu).
Arcade version
The original "Jintsuriki" theme first appeared in the original arcade version of Dead or Alive 2 as the final boss theme for Tengu, and also the theme for Ayane's ending.
Console version
"Jintsuriki" was later updated for the home console releases of Dead or Alive 2. Appearing in also the DOA2: Hardcore games, Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate, Dead or Alive 4, and Dead or Alive Online, the theme was once again used as the final boss theme for Tengu, and the theme for Ayane's ending.
It is this version of the theme that has been used again throughout the series rather than the original arcade version.
Tengu (or Jintsuriki) Remix
The theme was later remixed as "Tengu Remix" and first appeared in Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate. It is heard while the player is fighting against Tengu in the Ray House.
It later appeared in Dead or Alive 4, renamed "Jintsuriki Remix", and is heard when the player fighting against Tengu in the Crash Club.
Trivia
- 神通力 (jintsūriki) literally means either "supernatural [an occult] power", "divine power", or "magical power".
