Hayate/Dead or Alive 5 costumes

The following are the costumes available to Hayate in the 2012 title Dead or Alive 5, and its 2013 PlayStation Vita port Dead or Alive 5+.

For both games, Hayate's costumes unlock in the order listed, regardless of the difficulty and mode played. Only one costume is unlocked per mode, per difficulty in the game. Also, the tag team option is considered a different mode than the solo option in the Arcade Mode, and both characters chosen in the tag team will unlock a costume.

Dead or Alive 5

At the start of the game, Hayate has four different costumes, with two being available from the start and the remaining two costumes being unlocked through either Arcade Mode, Time Attack Mode, or Survival Mode.

With the release of the downloadable costumes, Hayate was given three different DLC costumes, adding his total up to seven costumes.

	Costume 1 - Black leather shinobi shōzoku, a bluish-grey and brown cuirass and backplate with the crest of the Mugen Tenshin clan on the nap of the neck, bluish-grey arm-guards, a light grey belt, and black and grey boots with black greaves. He also wears black gloves, a metal headband which protects his forehead, and has the Jinran-Maru and a wakizashi, both of which are kept on his back.	Default
	Costume 2 - White shinobi shōzoku with a dark blue and gold trim and the crest of the Mugen Tenshin clan on the nap of his neck, a chain mail which is worn underneath, a black sash tied around his waist, dark blue gloves, dark blue tabi boots with dark grey shin-guards, and a metal headband which protects his forehead. He also has the Jinran-Maru and a wakizashi, both of which are kept on his back. (Originally his first costume from Dead or Alive 3.)	Default
	Costume 3 - Dark red sleeveless shinobi shōzoku with a light brown trim, a black undershirt with decorative shoulders, a dark brown belt with a black quiver attached to it, a black scarf, a mask which covers the lower half of his face, black arm-guards, fingerless gloves, black tabi boots with shin-guards, and a metal headband which protects his forehead. He also has a metal bow which is kept on his back. (The costume's design is based on his second costume from Dead or Alive 3.)	Complete any difficulty on either Arcade Mode, Time Attack Mode, or Survival Mode
	Costume 4 - White vest with a black trim and the crest of the Mugen Tenshin clan on both the front of the vest and nap of the neck. He also wears a black shinobi shōzoku with white sleeves, a black and gold sash tied around his waist which keeps both his vest and wakizashi in place, black ribbon tied around both of his wrists, white tabi boots with dark grey shin-guards, and a metal headband which protects his forehead. (The costume's design is based on Shiden's first costume from Dead or Alive Dimensions.)	Complete any difficulty on either Arcade Mode, Time Attack Mode, or Survival Mode
	Costume 5 - White shinobi shōzoku with his shirt, a chain mail, and a black sash tied around his waist, dark blue gloves, dark blue tabi boots with dark grey shin-guards, and a metal headband which protects his forehead. He also has a wakizashi which is kept on his back. (This costume is a re-design of his second costume.)	"Special Set 2" DLC
	Costume 6 - Dressed as Santa Claus. The costume consists of a over-size red jacket with a white fur trim and pom-poms going down the front of the jacket, red pants, a black belt with a silver buckle, and black boots. He also wears a metal headband which protects his forehead.	"Lil' Santas" DLC
	Costume 7 - Black shorts with a patterned trim and the crest of the Mugen Tenshin clan on his left leg, black fighting gloves, and a metal headband which protects his forehead.	"Fighter Pack" DLC

Trivia

• In Story Mode, Hayate only wears his first costume.
