Great Opera, also known as the Opera House, is a stage that first appeared in Dead or Alive 2.
Story[]
Before the second tournament[]
The Great Opera is a prominent location in the Dead or Alive storyline as it is where an assassin attempted to assassinate Helena Douglas, but instead Maria, Helena's mother and a world-class soprano singer, took the bullet and saved her daughter's life.
Dead or Alive 2/Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate[]
In fighting at Dragon Hills, Helena has a flashback of this moment.
Helena later encounters Ayane at the opera and it is here that Helena accuses Ayane of being her mother's killer. Ayane neither confirms or denies this, but instead teases her. After the fight, the Great Opera goes up in flames.
In Leifang's story, she also encounters Helena at the opera and the two fight.
Dead or Alive 4[]
In Helena's story, she encounters Christie, the woman who tries to assassinate her in the previous tournament, at the DOATEC Great Hall. It is here that Christie reveals to her (and the player through a flashback) that she was the one who killed her mother.
Description[]
The Great Opera is Helena's stage primarily. The stage is walled in length-ways, but is an infinite stage. Opponents can be knocked off the front edge to the floor below, playing a large part in fight strategy.
