"I've admired you from afar for so long, Boss!"
—Fiona

Fiona is a young princess who made her debut in the 2017 PC version of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, entitled Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation during the September 27, 2018 update in the DMM version, and the January 14, 2020 update in the Singapore Steam version.

Biography[]

Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation[]

Early life[]

Fiona hailed from a monarchistic family somewhere in Europe, and was often told a generations-old story by her family, or at the very least the inhabitants of her castle about two lovers, which evidently influenced her overall outlook on life, including her later decision to go to the Venus Islands. She was also known to have a butler and a maid, who often advised her. One time during childhood, she had been sent to the daughter of one of the nobles (who was a family friend of her parents) in her country, Lobelia. Knowing beforehand that Lobelia loved flowers, she also made preparations to be tutored on the subject by her butler just prior to formally meeting her. Upon being greeted by Lobelia, as a result, she readily identified the wisteria on the door as meaning "welcome" before Lobelia even had a chance to ask her, with them becoming friendly rivals since that day, including having picnics and sleepovers at each others' residences, occasionally sharing the same bed during the latter case. The day prior to her journey to the Venus Islands, she held an anniversary party for her parents and invited multiple people to come near the lake to celebrate. Another time, during her pet dog's birthday, they went to watch the opera and go to dinner.

Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation[]

At some point, she learned of the Owner's existence through undisclosed means and grew to have a deep love for him. Eventually, she could no longer hold it in and abruptly left the castle to head to the Venus Islands, hoping to meet the Owner in person, although not before making sure she informed her butler about her decision, with her family supporting her journey.

Upon arriving at her destination, she encountered the Owner and enthusiastically introduced herself, admitting her admiration of him. However, because she was violating his personal space, she backed up and then proceeded to give a more formal introduction, and gave her official reason for wanting to join the Venus Festival as wanting to train to become the perfect bride.

At some point, Fiona ended up talking and presumably flirting with the Owner on the beach, and then departed, unaware that her newly arrived childhood friend and rival, Lobelia, had been nearby, spying on them and deciding to try and flirt with the Owner herself. After becoming aware of Lobelia's arrival sometime later, she also went through the effort to help set up the welcoming party for her old friend.

Character[]

Appearance[]

Fiona has wisteria eyes and long hair, with parts of it being tied up in the back in a manner reminiscent of a hairbow. She wears a purple dress that's reminiscent of a fairy tale princess, and places particular emphasis on her cleavage. She also has a purple mantle with a sapphire heart at the center and wore princess heels and silk stockings, alongside a silk garter with a fancy chain. Aside from that, she also had a kimono and a two-piece bikini, all colored with her favorite color of wisteria. One of her swimwear, Serenade, was largely similar to her regular swimwear, only primarily colored white with white frilly sleeves near the mantle as well as a ruby heart at the center (presumably in order to resemble a wedding dress). Her skin has a fairly pale complexion compared to the other girls. Although not nearly as short as Marie Rose, Luna, and Kanna, she is nevertheless one of the smaller girls on the Venus Islands.

Personality[]

Fiona is very deeply lovestruck with the Owner, to the extent that she went to the island solely to be closer to the owner. She repeatedly alluded to having a castle near a lake, and at one point implied that she spent enough time within its walls that she was surprised at how vast the world outside its walls was. She also has a very romantic aspect to her personality as, aside from her being deeply in love with the Owner, she also formulated the Dancing Party of Love, and was known to vow to do things "by the power of love". She also inferred that her love of dancing regardless of her actual skill level, as well as her more romantic view on things was derived from a story she had been told. Owing to her more sheltered background as a princess, she is at times shown to be very naïve, as during a date with the owner, she mistook a black-tailed gull with a cat.[3] On a similar note, she also had little to no knowledge or expertise in businesses or marketing, much less how to do so. This was demonstrated where she, in an attempt at doing negotiations with the Owner, asked for a dance hall in exchange for "giving love," which alongside a similar request by Lobelia resulted in the Owner being wiped out due to stress as a result of them overdoing it. Presumably due to her title of Princess and background, she tended to be very formal and polite, also being submissive in overall demeanor. The Japanese version in particular has her refer to her peers, including the Owner and several of the other females, by honorifics such as "-sama", although in Ayane's case, she made her quit using the term regarding her. Despite her more submissive and romantic inclinations, she also has a surprising demonstration of boldness in her acts, as noted by some of the other girls. Owing to her romantic view on things, she also admitted after receiving an Amethyst promise ring that she intended someday to find someone she can protect with the power of love, and even give that someone a ring of their own. Despite her more romantic views, Lobelia infers that Fiona is essentially a tomboy.

She is depicted at times to be clumsy, with it being heavily implied that this clumsiness is a major factor in her poor dancing skills. Once, while dancing with the owner, she ended up accidentally slamming into him mid-twirl, causing her to freeze up in embarrassment.

Etymology[]

Fiona is a name of Gaelic/Scottish origin which means "fair."

Relationships[]

Butler[]

Fiona, owing to her position, had a butler, who acted as a bit of a parental figure, chiding her for staying up too late as well as giving her some lessons on social interactions. She also indicated during a discussion on rock climbing that he often practiced scaling the castle walls. The butler was also indirectly responsible for Lobelia's later rivalry with Fiona, as he taught her everything he knew about flowers, including the meaning of the wisteria flower in floriography. When Fiona left for the Venus Islands, she made sure to tell the Butler her destination, who relayed it to the rest of her family. She also implied when thanking Koharu for setting up the Onsen at the hotel that the butler could make use of it due to having a bad back.

Honoka[]

Honoka alongside Nyotengu helped Fiona do the final touches of the dancing party. She also proceeded to dance with Fiona, albeit in a more flustered manner due to her being experienced with Bon Dances, yet only having second hand knowledge from school about folk dances. Fiona also ended up complimenting Honoka for picking up pace, and becoming even more impressed when she learned that Honoka copied her dance moves when improving, though she was slightly saddened largely due to her own failure to dance well. However, after Honoka admitted that all the girls are "partners" of the owner, Fiona ended up flustered, believing that meant all the girls were potential candidates for marriage, and vowed to work even harder to become the Owner's bride. In addition, Honoka not only helped cheer Fiona on regarding rock climbing and building her strength for the festival, but also helped Fiona out by doing a demonstration on how to rock climb.

Marie Rose[]

Marie Rose was implied to be jealous of Fiona initially due to the attention Helena gave her. Additionally, in the Japanese version, Marie's annoyance at being compared to a child is implied to be the reason Fiona refers to her as Marie-san. However, the two have also worked together a number of times. Fiona also indicated that Marie Rose taught her waitering during the former's birthday party. Fiona and Marie Rose also had to work together to find a means to distribute a massive and unexpected surplus of Valentine's Day chocolates (while also wearing cupid-inspired outfits due to a dream that the Owner had), ultimately deciding to settle on a chocolate-themed party. Marie Rose also acted as a bit of a mentor to Fiona regarding a pajama party before Kanna came in.

Misaki[]

Fiona and Misaki interacted with each other during the Love Dance Party that acted as the former's welcoming party, with Fiona taking the lead largely because Misaki was unfamiliar with dancing. Misaki apologized for Fiona having to take the lead, although Fiona admitted that she was glad they even danced at all. Misaki also was shocked that Fiona was in fact a princess when admitting that she came across like one in looks, and was even more surprised that Fiona came to the island specifically to meet the boss. She then offered to give her the nickname of "Feenie" (Fio-chan in the Japanese version), which Fiona accepted.

The two later worked together to find ingredients for medication to help the Owner out of a recent bout of insomnia, with Fiona in particular helping out Misaki finding Sea Urchin-like plant ingredients as well as how to make the medication. The two later participated in and competed against each other in a swimming competition, with Fiona losing to Misaki, though they largely took it well.

Hitomi[]

Hitomi alongside Kokoro helped Fiona set up the dancing party. She also provided some advice to her about how to dance. Fiona also appreciated the advice for the most part, even if not quite satisfied. However, the two ended up baffled after she implied that she and the Owner were engaged, causing her to cover herself and claim it was a greeting her butler taught her to say. In addition, when learning of the nature of Hitomi's training regiment from Honoka and Luna regarding building her strength (specifically, that she fights bears), she not only is shocked to learn this, but also briefly becomes despondent, thinking she'll never reach her level or, indeed, even be able to train her strength for the Venus Festival. Hitomi, alongside Momiji, also gave Fiona some pointers regarding cooking on her birthday.

Ayane[]

She met Ayane near the pool and requested that the latter advise her on how to manage her beauty for the Venus Festival, even calling her master, much to Ayane's annoyance. She was also familiar with Ayane during the Dancing Party of Love, but never got a chance to interact with her (Ayane not being the social type). When undergoing training, Ayane made her swear not to address her as "Mistress Ayane" ("Ayane-sama" in the Japanese version), although Fiona had some difficulty trying to keep to that end of the bargain.

Fiona also worked alongside Ayane to test out a new type of body soap, although Ayane was implied to be slightly annoyed by her presence, comparing her to Luna at one point, with Fiona's admittance that she had watched Ayane sleeping to observe the soap's effects not helping matters. Ayane, when reconvening with Kasumi later on after the latter similarly worked alongside Luna to test out the body soap, also referenced her difficult time with Fiona. The two later worked together on a spa treatment again, which ultimately inspired Lobelia to do something similar (though without them due to refusing earlier).

Kokoro[]

Kokoro alongside Hitomi helped Fiona set up the dancing party, as well as offering her some advice about dance techniques. However, the two ended up baffled after she implied that she and the Owner were engaged, causing her to cover herself and claim it was a greeting her butler taught her to say. In addition, Kokoro also alongside Ayane helped out Fiona regarding the beauty spa, and implied that she largely sympathized with her abrupt departure from the castle to get to the island due to having pulled something similar on her own mother. Kokoro also taught Fiona some Japanese dances during the latter's birthday. She also mentored Fiona in dance lessons when a School Carnival Festival was coming up so Fiona could do dance moves for the festival. Although Kokoro's lessons seemed to be having a positive impact, the Owner decided to take control and insist on Fiona push for more elegant moves. This ultimately culminated in a more awkward moment between Fiona and Kokoro where, due to the Owner getting in the way, Fiona fell on top of Kokoro in a more suggestive manner, causing Kokoro to insist that Fiona listen to her due to being a professional dancer from that point onward.

Helena Douglas[]

Helena alongside Marie Rose helped Fiona set up the dancing party, with Helena complimenting her as an adorable princess, to Fiona's bashfulness and Marie's jealousy. Helena also was somewhat bemused that there were "two cute princesses" (referring to Fiona and Marie Rose befriending each other). They also worked together for the Two Prima event, with Fiona even requesting that Helena sing a duet with her upon learning that she was a former Opera star. She did, however, end up briefly taken aback by Fiona's suggestion that they do a duet and even privately remark that she was a bit of a "troubled princess", although she nonetheless was somewhat amused by her boldness. Helena also apparently gave Fiona some more singing lessons on her birthday, which is implied to be return payment for Fiona's own involvement in helping set up Helena's own birthday party earlier.

Helena later tutored Fiona on the concept of hiring people into businesses due to Fiona largely being unaware of what businesses entailed and how to run them, let alone hire people. Helena also posed as an elf in an elaborate hoax regarding a forest elf's discovery on the island to lure Fiona and Marie Rose over to the nature-based photoshoot, with Fiona, while slightly disappointed at not meeting an elf, nevertheless being relieved.

Luna[]

She got along well with Luna, with the latter also aided her alongside Honoka during the strength training sessions. In fact, she alongside Honoka wore cheer outfits specifically to cheer her on regarding her training to give her support, with Luna in particular, prior to Fiona giving a second try on rock climbing, giving her some advice on how to pursue the challenge and not let it overwhelm her. Fiona in turn returned the favor later on by helping Luna with pool hopping, even supplying her with an appetizer outfit to allow Luna to maintain balance on top of the platforms, using prior experience with Tamaki. However, she refused to help Luna during a demonstration with the Owner due to learning that was actually against the rules.

Tamaki[]

Although Fiona and Tamaki have only interacted in Spring Appetizer Selection, it's implied that Fiona was at least aware of Tamaki's more infamous reputation, as she expressed shock that Tamaki was in her room. Tamaki checked up on her when hearing her cry out (due to Fiona falling off the bed in a failed attempt at practicing dance lessons). Tamaki then offered to supply her with a means to practice dancing, which she had marginally better success at, especially after Tamaki grabbed her to ensure she stayed still long enough to avoid falling into the water when Fiona panicked.

Nagisa[]

She became acquainted with Nagisa when the latter had to do rock climbing as part of her initiation at the Venus Islands. She acted as her support member, and encouraged her to climb, like Honoka and Luna did for her beforehand. She also was very impressed with Nagisa managing to complete her round of climbing on the first try, especially compared to her own attempts. She also speculated that, despite Nagisa's denials, even she had some romantic feelings for the Owner, even thinking Nagisa's insult of "Wanko" towards the Owner was a cute petname due to her fondness for her own pet dog John.

Although she did not interact with Nagisa when the latter acted as a secret Santa, she did encounter her the next day, where she alongside Kanna relayed their respective encounters with Santa to her as well as Sayuri/Momiji (depending on the version), with Nagisa largely playing along. After the two left, Nagisa privately mentioned to herself that it's a good thing they were still naive, indirectly alluding to how Nagisa almost got caught by Kanna and was forced to make a hasty escape during her role as a secret Santa.

Kanna[]

Fiona, alongside her friend Marie Rose, met Kanna during a pajama party event, with Kanna also talking the girls into wearing somewhat revealing lingerie. She took slight issue at Fiona calling it "cute", as she wanted to appear sexy. She also had some ice-breaking chats with Kanna alongside Marie Rose, with the oni admitting Fiona was "bold" for going to the island on her own initiative due to her love for the owner. Fiona and Kanna later worked together on a school-related event, with Fiona helping Kanna out regarding the academic aspects of education, while Kanna in turn helped Fiona out with physical education, with both being implied to have never actually had a formal public education before then. However, Kanna insisted that Fiona refer to her as Kanna Senior. The two later stayed up in the hopes of meeting Santa. She also attempted to get Kanna to believe Santa existed (as the latter did not believe in him due to never being granted gifts by him in her entire life). This eventually resulted in them inadvertently spoiling the Owner's attempt at gift giving due to mistaking the latter for Santa.

Monica[]

The two met during a pajama party and quickly got along well with each other. When learning about Monica's plushie collection, she paid particular attention to a giant stuffed dog that Monica owned due to it reminding her of John, with Monica agreeing to let her hold it in rememberance of her pet due to being separated, while implying she owned a similar dog herself, only named Ida and being female. Monica also gave Fiona some advice on how to open herself up to the Owner more regarding romance. Fiona in turn relayed a message from the Owner to Monica regarding meeting with him the next night for the welcoming party.

Patty[]

Fiona met Patty at Tamaki's request as part of the latter's fashion lessons to the former. She was initially confused when Patty smelled her, wondering if she had something on her, until Patty explained she was smelling her glitter. Patty also detected Fiona's heartrate increase upon mention of the Owner, with Tamaki also explaining that was part of the reason why she was on the island and chose her attire. Patty briefly became despondent after learning the two came from completely different locations, thinking a princess' attire wouldn't fit herself, although Tamaki reassured her that it might.

Tsukushi[]

Tsukushi interacted with Fiona during a Jewel-related festival, with her initially being startled by Fiona. They briefly talked about each other's respective jewels, with Fiona encouraging Tsukushi to find "her own color" in reference to Opal supplying different colors depending on how light reflects on it.

Lobelia[]

Fiona was Lobelia's childhood friend and the two are very close, with Fiona often being referred to by Lobelia as "Fee-chan" in the Japanese version (the English version tones this down to some extent, though Lobelia's nickname for her in that version, "Feefee", was referenced at least once). They had initially met when she had been invited to a house with a girl the same age as her, and also requested that Lobelia tell her a lot about flowers, realizing how much the latter loved them. This also resulted in Wisteria being placed on Fiona's front door sometime afterward in response, to her joy. Lobelia even went to the Venus Islands largely due to Fiona herself going there. Her horticultural expertise was also arguably rivaled by Fiona's, due to the latter answering a question regarding her wreath's meaning in a clever way. While friendly with Fiona, she is not above trying to rival her for the Owner's affections. It is also implied that Fiona was not aware of Lobelia's attempting to rival Fiona for the Owner's affections, or at the very least is unaware that Lobelia refers to the Owner as "Honey", as she asked who "Honey" was due to not meeting them, with Lobelia coyly stating she'll meet soon enough. On a similar note, Fiona seemed to be somewhat oblivious that Lobelia wanted to best her in something, as when Lobelia announced as their next "competition" finding a Beach Naupaka after Fiona accidentally found a Mountain Naupaka while rock climbing with her so they could "bloom love", Fiona excitedly told Lobelia that they shall find it together, causing an exhasperated Lobelia to wonder whether Fiona is even aware of what she meant by "together." At one time, she planned to meet up with Lobelia, although a sudden rainstorm forced her to cancel those plans, which she glumly admitted to Kasumi when they received new swimsuits modeled after raincoats.

Largely because of their prior ties, Fiona had been personally responsible for setting up Lobelia's welcoming party, including the use of wisteria decorating the door (referencing their first meeting) and utilizing as a prize for a side-game of identifying characters by flower characteristics 100 bonbon chocolates, enough that Lobelia can't eat them all without sharing.

Koharu[]

Fiona, alongside Ayane, met Koharu in order to thank her for opening up the onsen, with Fiona in particular really enjoying the experience due to having never actually experienced them for herself. She also hoped that the three would engage in a "Naked Talk" at the onsen. However, since Koharu herself was working the entire time the onsens were open, she settled for a pajama party instead due to Koharu mentioning that participants tended to "talk until morning", with Koharu being especially eager to try it out. Fiona also inquired about Koharu's love of Japanese classical literature, having learned of it via her friend Lobelia earlier. Upon learning about Koharu's favorite story, Tale of Genji, she was very fond of what the story entailed. She then admitted that she'd still like to participate in an onsen with Koharu.

At some point later, Fiona and Koharu had tea in a Japanese-themed room, also bringing along some sweets to go with the matcha tea, with Yukino joining them after stumbling upon them. When Fiona freely admitted her "love" was her admiration for the Boss and that being the reason she arrived at the island, Koharu was reluctant to confirm that she loved the Owner as well when Fiona asked her and Yukino, largely because she was still training to be a hostess, with Yukino expressing similar reluctance.

Yukino[]

Yukino, partly due to curiosity of the room, met Fiona as well as Koharu in a Japanese-themed room where they were in the middle of teatime (specifically using matcha tea as well as sweets Fiona brought along). Afterwards, Yukino asked them about their "loves", with Fiona freely admitting to her admiration for the Boss and even that such had been the reason she arrived at the island. Yukino admitted it was very bold and to being impressed at this. However, she was reluctant to state her own feelings for the Boss when Fiona asked due to not being accustomed to the island yet. Fiona then told Yukino they're welcome to have another tea party later on when she had to leave abruptly to find more venuses to ask about their loves.

Owner[]

As mentioned above, she is deeply in love with the owner, with him being the main reason why she went over to the island, and having fallen in love for him at first sight. Her immense respect for the owner is especially evident in the Japanese version with her referring to him by the honorific "-sama" in front of his name. At one point, when dancing with the Owner, she almost gave him a kiss, only to end up flustered from the action, causing the Owner to suggest she take it at her own pace like dancing (though his advice was initially worded in a way that had her misinterpret it as him saying she wasn't what he was looking for until he clarified). Despite her love for the owner, she nonetheless can be taken aback regarding more overt hints at them entering a fully romantic relationship. This was best demonstrated during her third birthday on the Venus Islands, where, after learning of her Freesia dress's template being Shiromuku (Japanese wedding kimonos) as well as what they were, she ended up shocked at the inherent implication that the Owner was apparently proposing marriage to her to the extent that she could barely give any reply, claiming it was so sudden. In addition, her willingness to do whatever the owner wishes apparently has some limits, as if she ended up peeked upon while changing, she initially considers allowing the Owner a look, only to find herself unable to bring herself to allow it.

Trivia[]

  • Fiona is the fifth female character to be first introduced via the Xtreme series.
    • In the DMM version, she was the fourth girl introduced, while Nagisa was the fifth. In the Steam version, it was technically the opposite due to Nagisa debuting early as the "Mystery Venus". Largely because of this, the Christmas arc's beginning episode's reference to Fiona was cut in the Steam version. She still retained her status as the fourth girl introduced overall.
  • According to the girl order in the game code, Fiona is identified as "FON".[4]
  • According to her self-introduction episode, she dislikes carrots, and she also owned a dog by the name of "John", who was implied in one of her event episodes to be her only friend before arriving on the Venus Islands. She also admits that, despite ballroom dancing being her hobby, she is not good at it.
    • According to her Dolce birthday episode, she likes strawberries, especially if they're mixed with her favorite food Chocolate Fondant.
    • According to the episode arc "After Rain Vacation ♪", Fiona suffers from Astraphobia (the fear of thunder), which she discovered the Boss also suffers from.
  • As noted by Kokoro in the event episode "Kokoro's heart-to-heart", Fiona's method of arriving at the Venus Islands was similar to how Kokoro arrived at New Zack Island in Dead or Alive Xtreme 2.
  • She is the first character to use the honorific "-Sama" for the Owner.
  • Fiona is one of only two characters to miss out on the Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation x Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu collaboration (the only other being Leifang).
    • She is also the only one of the characters to be excluded from the First Anniversary outfits as well as the Xmas 2018 outfits, presumably due to her being recently included (though she was allowed two character-exclusive episodes for the latter event, and eventually got both SSR alongside Nagisa, Kanna, and Monica.).
  • In the Xmas 2018 event's standard episode for the DMM version, Misaki indicated that Fiona was going to miss the Christmas party due to going on a week-long cruise scheduled around the same time prior to the Owner revealing that the expenses incurred from the First Anniversary event forced him to cancel the party. Despite this, however, Fiona was still allowed to appear in two character-centric episodes like the other characters as noted above. The Singapore Steam version omitted the reference to Fiona in this episode, owing to her not having debuted yet.
  • Fiona is the second character in Xtreme Venus Vacation thus far whose nationality is left unknown, after Luna. However, she is implied to hail from a European country that retains its monarchy via her attire, title, and also her references to living in a stone castle near a lake.
    • The "White Christmas ~ Snowy Island ~" event, in particular the episode "Big Sis Santas" hints that she may have originated from Great Britain due to her using the Christmas tree fairy as the basis of the event's SSR outfits, "Holy Snow", which was popularized in England since 1841 due to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert owning one (though the tradition itself originated in Scandinavia/Germany since the 15th century and earlier.).[5]
      • During the "Bonding Festival ~ School Heaven ~" event, specifically the episode "What is 'youth'?", Fiona when trying to decide something "scholastic" to do with Kanna after concluding the school-like event suggests having a tea party due to hearing that schools often had morning and noon tea, alluding to a cultural concept for Great Britain and various British Commonweath countries. Her friend Lobelia made a similar suggestion for afternoon tea shortly after a Battledore match in the episode "Battledore Doubles."
    • Coincidentally, both Fiona and Luna beat out two characters who at that time were of an age limit (as Fiona beat out Honoka as being the oldest eighteen year old girl, and Luna beat out Ayane as being the youngest girl in the series at that time).
    • Even though she is not Japanese, she is shown to at least be somewhat familiar with Japanese customs, as she freely participated in White Day festivities. She also implied during the "Fairy of the Deep Woods" Event Episode arc that she had some awareness of Kimodameshi. She also wore a traditional Japanese New Year Kimono during one of the New Year festivities, and implied that she participated in some of the Japanese cultural aspects of the holiday during that time.
  • On April 1, 2019, Fiona got a new SSR that depicted her with bandages, greyed skin, and red irises in a similar manner to a zombie as well as wearing a red idol outfit. This was most likely a reference to her voice actress, Kaede Hondo's role in the Zombie Land Saga anime.[6] Upon it crossing over to April 2, 2019, all traces of the event barring zombie poses are removed, with a Twitter message popping up where Misaki tells the Owner that he merely had a dream.[7]
    • This was given a subtle reference in the tail end of the Bloody Halloween event trailer, which showed Fiona asking the Owner for a dance and if he's happy for her while flashing between her normal self and her alternate appearance, due to the event's Bloody Kiss SSR including the option for all girls (as the outfits were based on vampires). Like above, this was also most likely a reference to one of her voice actress's roles, in this case Interviews with Monster Girls.
  • In the Japanese version, Fiona always speaks using formal Japanese known as keigo (敬語). Fiona attaches the honorific "sama" (様) to the Owner, and to a certain extent Ayane and some of the other girls. The English version largely retains this trait by having her use more formal turns of phrases and more eloquent expressions.
  • According to Sakuta D in Famitsu's 2nd anniversary coverage for Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation, Fiona had been created in order to emphasize the concept of "Owner Love", and also so she could stand out in terms of relationship status compared to the other girls. Sakuta also stated he had to place the staff under close supervision when designing Fiona to make sure they don't take advantage of her willingness to do anything for the Owner for selfish ends.[8]
    • On the same section, concept art for her indicated that her Noble Tutu SSR outfit was originally going to be slightly more elaborate, including opera-gloves, a connected mantle to the corset portion of her swimwear, her hips being slightly exposed, and her pantierres being longer and more ruffled, as well as having an extension near the posterior. She also apparently was meant to have a hairbow on the back.
  • Fiona is the second character to appear in another character's debut episode, after Misaki regarding Tamaki, Nagisa, and Nanami. Unlike Misaki, however, she never directly interacts with Lobelia in the latter's debut episode.
  • In the Singapore Steam version's 2nd Anniversary livestream, Fiona's bio erroneously claimed that she was a skilled dancer, when she if anything was specifically stated to be extremely bad at the activity.
  • In the Singapore Steam version, Fiona is the first girl to have a birthday trailer.
  • In the DMM version, Fiona is tied with Tina as having the shortest period of debut between herself and the previous girl (Leifang in her case), taking a little over two months.
  • Fiona is the final girl to have coverage upon debut in the print edition of Famitsu. Starting with Nagisa, the girls do not get any focus until anniversary coverage for the games.
  • The event episode arc "School Heaven" implies that Fiona had no personal experience with school life before the events of that arc, which was most likely a reference to how in monarchistic families and to a lesser extent aristocratic families, children in those families tended to be homeschooled as part of their education and development.
  • In the Second episode of the Fair-Weather Holiday event arc, "Each Tale of Genji", Fiona claimed that she read fairy tales and picture books, as well as imagining experiencing the various stories. This claim was later confirmed to be true in the Atelier Sophie 2 collaboration, where she read a book that was implied to entail the story of that game and dreamed of herself as the lead character.
    • In the Atelier Sophie 2 collaboration, Fiona claimed that her butler was a skilled Alchemist and she wished to reach his level, although since it was stated during a dream she was having, it's unclear whether this was indeed the case in reality.
