Densetsu no Hiken

This article is for the musical theme "Densetsu no Hiken" and its subsequent update.

Throughout the Dead or Alive series, "Densetsu no Hiken" has been used as a theme for Gen Fu.

Arcade version[]

The original "Densetsu no Hiken" theme, composed by Hideyuki Suzuki, first appeared in the original arcade version of Dead or Alive as the theme for Gen Fu.

Dead Or Alive 1 (Arcade OST) - Legend of the Secret Fist (Gen Fu's Stage)

Console version[]

"Densetsu no Hiken" was later updated by Makoto Hosoi for the Sega Saturn version of Dead or Alive.

Since the Sega Saturn version, this version of the theme has been used again rather than the original arcade version.

The theme was used in both the Sega Saturn version of Dead or Alive and its Xbox-port Dead or Alive 1 Ultimate, as the theme for Gen Fu in the Arcade Mode, and the theme for Gen Fu's stage in the Survival Mode.

It later appeared in Japanese Dreamcast versions of Dead or Alive 2, the DOA2: Hardcore games, and Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate as the theme for Burai Zenin. The theme is also optional in the Music Mode in Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, though it can be selectable for any character and gameplay mode.

"Densetsu no Hiken" (伝説の秘拳) translates to "secret fist of legend" or "legendary secret arts".
