Continuing on from the previous game, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate added new tag partners and throws for the characters, and continued to keep the changes of omitting intros and outros that were in previous games.
Going back to the days of Dead or Alive 2 however is the commands for the tag throws, with the new commands now being , and for partners with more than two throws.
